Go ahead, search eBay for "Bush cufflinks" What you will find are a whole lot of fake cufflinks that look very similar to the real thing. At one point even I fell victim to thinking some of the ones on eBay were real. You will also find that all these cufflinks say they are "signed" on the back, etc. Most of them come in a blue "leattte" type box with a gold eagle stamped inside. That box comes in a blue cardboard box with a gold eagle stamped on top. If you see those cufflinks, they are NOT authentic. The biggest indication is the "signature" on these type items. The official signature for authentic White House items is the signature that is seen on the lid of the box of the cufflinks I have for auction. If you notice on many sellers auctions, the signature of the President looks different than this. This is because these items are being made by a small company who is getting rich selling 5.00 cufflinks as the real thing. Most of the sellers who are selling these cufflinks are selling dozens of pairs from Ford, Reagan, Clinton, Bush Sr, etc. Any collector knows that authentic VIP gifts are very hard to find. You are not going to find someone who ironically has dozens of cufflinks from every administration, especially not to w they can sell them for 50.00 a set. I didn't mean to ramble, but seeing all these sellers sell souvenir items as authentic items is totally unacceptable.

This auction if for a set of authentic George W. Bush enamel or "cloisonne" cufflinks. They are often given out by the President or his top level staff as thank you items to visiting VIP's, etc. They come in a blue box with the signature of the president on top. The back of each cufflink is engraved with the signature of GW Bush. The photo is hard to see the cufflinks detail, but each cufflink is an official color seal of the President. I didnt worry too much with getting the fine detail t as anyone who is looking for these most likely knows what they are buying and can see from the packaging alone in the picture that this is not one of the reproduction sets of cufflinks that is flooding eBay.
