Hello from Dave at Silverline Knives. Please check my other auctions for a nice selection of vintage Pearl knives. we have a stamped, "GEORGE WOSTENHOLM IXL CUTLERY SHEFFIELD" Pattern Sleeveboard Lobster. This Sheffield pattern Lobster is a type of sleeveboard that has a cut out in the pearl most of the length of the back spine to accomodate a large manacure blade. The blade is as thick as the entire knife with a spike on top for cleaning fingernails. Western States called this style "Sheffield pattern", which is as good a name as any. These knives sometimes have full bolsters, not in the case of this one, it is a bare head. Both blades are stamped as stated above with IXL on both. They have a few very small chips in the blades and show honest use with some staining. T are NO chips or cracks in the pearl and one blade closes a bit sluggish. Nice rainbow color to the pearl. Nickle silver bolsters and brass liners. This is a very unique knife indeed. I will provide more pictures at your request and answer all question to the best of my ability. Good luck! Please check my other auctions. Payment Information: Please email any questions prior to bidding. Must be 18 to bid. Preferred method of payment is Pay-pal. We accept money orders and personal checks as well which need time to clear at my bank, approx. 7 to 10 days. Winning bidders
