Georgian 15 Ct Gold Citrine Earrings c1830 Oval Citrines are claw set in Gold. They have a scrolled setting with wirework detail. To the top are small flowers and shepherd's hooks for pierced ears. The Citrines are a pale gold colour and total around 2 1/2 Carats. The Earrings have been made in 15 Carat Gold. The design and craftsmanship date these Earrings to the Georgian period, circa 1830. Sizing, Marks and Condition Each Earring is 20mm by 14mm or 3/4 inch by just under 5/8 inch, not including the hooks. Total drop including the hooks is 30mm or just under 1 1/4 inches. Each Citrine is 8.5mm by 7mm, they total around 2 1/2 Carats and test as Citrine. Combined weight is 2.8g. Unmarked, test as 15 Carat Gold. In very good condition. To the top of one flower t appears to be a slight period repair, this has been carried out in Gold. Will be sent with a new presentation case.
