A good late 18th or early 19th century wrought iron spiral twist candlestick, aprox. 9 inches tall. Condition is generally very good, with a nice patina to the iron, I have cleaned some candlewax off it and just waxed the base. The oak base also has a nice feel to it, but as with a lot of these things the base may be later. If the iron spike goes right through and is clenched under the base, it may be original, this one has a short spike and is loose in the base, probably due to shrinkage,It may not be original but is none the less a nice item. The candle lifter is quite loose in the spiral but works, and looks original. Plwase email any queries or for International postage.
