It features the enamelled portrait of a young couple with a child in the woods on the lid with similar pictures on the sides. Internally on the underside of the lid there is a stunning enamelled picture of a lady in period dress drinking from a cup. There are a number of fine hairlines as shown which are quite typical and the metal frame comes away from the lower box, but the hinge is in fully working order and I suspect it could be restored professionally. There is some enamel loss and also some restoration to the corners as shown. Outside this, it’s a stunning example which measures 1 ¾ inches tall by 3 ½ inches long by 2 ¾ inches wide. A nice genuine period piece offer without reserve. Postage is £4 via recorded delivery in the UK and approx £9 via International Signed for Service (please check with us prior to purchase if outside the UK).
