Ebay a little boring lately? Ready for a spring fling??? .... OR just looking for that perfect addition to your collection ? ...... Well you've stopped by the right place! Offered for auction is a very old and lovely jeweled Austro Hungarian Pendant / Necklace. This pretty piece is quite old and would have been a pre-curser to old Czech jewelry. Many Austro- Hungarian pieces featured real gems, and I suspect these are real but since I have no way of knowing for sure they will be represented as glass or rhinestones It is a 3-dimensional piece with raised bezel set jewelrs and mother of pearl. It is is not marked and the construction is heavy gilt / gold wash over silver. The gilt is in excellent condition with very little wear except on the little rings that connect to the chain. The chain is probably not original to the piece, although it is also quite old and nicely made. It measures 17 1/2 " from end to end. The pendant measures a little over 1" across and 1 5/8" long. This ia a lovely and unusual piece and if you wish to own a piece of jewelry that is very old, this one is for you!
