We have for auction a Rare and Seldom seen Vintage 1970's Gerber Sportsman's Single Blade Folding Lock Back Style Pocket Knife that is new in the original Box! Yes Folks, t his great 1970's vintage Gerber Knife is "Factory New" and was manufactured by Gerber Legendary Blades of Portland, OR. The Folding Sportsman's series was offered for just a few years, and is one of the first style's sold making it a very collectable knife. There is no model number marked on the knife or on the box, and is a nice early knife featuring a 440C Stainless Steel Blade with Solid Brass bolsters and liners. This great old Gerber folder came directly from a old hardware store inventory, and was very well preserved. We see very few knives from this era that are new with the original box! Each of these great vintage Gerber knives were hand crafted, and finished by some of the best American craftsmen. This is a rock solid knife and is all factory original condition. It looks just as nice today as the day it was made some 40 years ago. The knife has 1 blade measuring 2 3/4" inches, and measures 3 5/8" overall in total length closed. The knife opens & closes very tight and shows no signs of actual use. Again folks this knife is just like new!
