This is a Gerber Mark I Presentation fighting (or boot?) knife that I bought new around 1976, factory serial number 0046. I am also listing a matching Mark II presentation knife that I ordered with it with the same serial number. It's never been out of the box (until now) & the knife has never been put in the sheath. Its in the original box with label & the serial number is hand printed near the label at the factory. Label also has the original price of $65. I tried to get photos of the knife, sheath & box so we will see how they turn out. The blade is so highly polished that it was almost impossible to get a good photo of it. Blade is 4&15/16" long & very highly polished. It has the traditional Gerber trademark on one side & the serial number, 0046, is factory etched on the other side. Handle is some kind of presentation grade wood & I think the guard is German silver (the silver has a very nice golden patina from 30 yrs. in the box.) T are very fine double red spacers with a white center spacer between the wood & the guard. End of grip has a brass lined lanyard hole. The sheath ( factory calls it a scabbard) is still in it's plastic sleave & is 100% untouched. It even has the original yellow factory piece of paper in the bottom of the box. This knife is 100% NIB! Any questions, please ask. Thanks!
