For sale is one Gerber knife, serial number 001720, complete with leather sheath, original box and some Gerber papers as shown. I believe it to be a Mark II "Presentation" knife. The box has the number"001930" written on it, and a piece of tape over the "Command II"portion of the label with "Presentation" written on the tape. I purchased this knife new in San Diego, California, about 1977 and kept it packed away in my closet ever since. The handle is wood, not the composite material I see on most listings on E-Bay for knives of this style. The knife measures 12 1/4 inches overall, the blade is 6 and 3/4 inches. I do not see any scratches or nicks on the blade, and when buffed it looks beautiful. T is a little green tarnish on the brass accents, but it seems to clean off with a bit of buffing. The leather sheath has a few nicks and scuff on it, mostly from being packed in the box all these years. T is some green tarnish around the edge of the brass snap. The leather leg tie has never been unwrapped.Overall, I do believe this knife looks the same now as the day I purchased it.
