Personally Signed by Flugkapitan Gerhard Nitschke Heinkels Chief Test Pilot.. Cover depicts Gerhard Nitschke, Heinkel Aircraft and Heinkel logo. Was chief Test Pilot for Ernst Heinkel Flugzeugkerke 1935 to 1944 during which time he flew over 10,000 flights in various Heinkels. During the latter part of WW11 he worked with Wolfgang von Gronan in Toyko and during 1944 to 1945 flew one of the 2 seaplanes operating from German Submarine Bases in Penang ( Malaya ) and Batavia ( Indonesia ).. Red Heinkel 111 flight cachet blue Braniff International flight cachet on the reverse, black Confederate Air Force backstamp.
