Up for auction are 2 items. First item for sale is a beautiful Chilean Model 1895 Mauser bayonet made under contract in Germany for the Model 1895 Mauser bolt-action rifle. The crest on the ricasso is the national emblem of Chile. Bayonet is in mint condition and it's made by Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co. in Solingen. This is German craftsmanship at its finest. Nothing is loose-the blade looks like new with only some black dots on the guard. The wood handle is also in very good condition. The scabbard shows some wear and has 3 minor dents in it but is in overall G-VG condition. Blade on the bayonet is 10" with an overall length of 14.5" . Second item for auction is a German Dagger from late WWII. It was from a private collection of an individual who served with the US Army in Germany during 1944-45. Dagger has no markings on it whatsoever-nor does the scabbard. Dagger has a wooden handle with minor damage, (see photo). Blade shows some some spotting but is in overall VG shape in my opinion. Scabbard shows more wear-particularly around leather strapping but is intact and still holds dagger fine. Length of blade is 5-5/8" with overall length of 10-7/16". An ample opportunity for someone to own 2 pieces of German historical memorabilia. Payment for these items is to be made by Paypal only. Failure to make payment within 48hrs of auction
