Here's a vintage all-bisque Kewpie doll with a molded WWI soldier hat by Rose O'Neill which was made in Germany. His face has the great details that you would expect. His arms appear to be original and have been restrung. The original owner glued a small piece of cardboard to his feet so he could stand up. This has been removed, but some slight residue remains. He was recently purchased at a local estate sale here in Dallas. He measures about 5½ inches tall. She needs to be restrung. Condition: Hat and body : The hat has 3 small nicks to the edge of the hat brim. Please see picture #5. The nicks to the hat are the only issues. The rest of the doll is in excellent condition. Arm : They are both in excellent condition. There is no signature on the bottom of the feet. There is an original round Kewpie sticker on his back. Please see pictures.
