*** EBAY... THIS GERMAN KNIFE DOES NOT HAVE ANY EBAY PROHIBITED SYMBOLS, NAMES, OR WHATEVER ON IT. THESE ARE COMPLETE PICTURES. NOTHING IS CONCEALED OR BLOCKED OUT . This auction is for an original German Dress Bayonet that was Army issued. It comes with its original scabbard and leather frog. The blade has the makers name / logo of FW Holler with the thermometer on it. This bayonet measures 12.5" in overall length. The blade measures just over 7.5". The scabbard still retains its original black paint and is nearly 100%. T are only some minor surface scratches / scuffs to the scabbard. The black patent leather frog shows its age from storage. T is some hazing and cracking. The seam (see picture) stitching on one upper side has pulled away. The small black rivet is still present, but it has been pulled through. This could be an easy fix with leather glue or re-stitching. I'll leave that to the new owner. The bayonet itself is in very good condition. It still retains its original brown leather buffer at the hilt. T is red felt in the rifle mounting slot. The plastic grip inserts are perfect. T are no cracks, chips or wear to the raised portion. The pommel shows wear from storage. T is some light surface oxidation and you can see a worn area w the pommel rested against the frog. You can also tell on the frog sleeve w the pommel was resting for decades in storage. The blade itself is still bright & shiny. It still retains its factory edge & tip. The chrome finish is very nice, having only a few light scratches from being taken in & out of the scabbard I assume. Other than that, t are only one or two tiny specks / blemish on the blade. This dress bayonet is being sold w/o a reserve and with a very low opening bid. I will be listing an all matching K98 Luftwaffe issued field bayonet in the next week or two along with a luger holster, G43 items and some other military items from Germany. Postage for this bayonet within the US will be $9.00 for Priority Mail Service w/Delivery Confirmation. Payment is expected within ten days and can be made via Paypal or Money Order. I do my best to ship the same, or very next Postal Service day from when payment is made / received.
