Original German Army WWII - WW2 COLLECTOR CARD ________________________________________________________________ Staff Sergeant Willi Blumenroth (3./InfRgt 124) 3th Infantry Regt. 124 Holder of : KNIGHT CROSS Staff Sergeant Willi Blumenroth, born July 19, 1919 in Langerfeld, was awarded the Knights Cross on 23 th of Oct. 1941. Spontaneous he repulsed in the counter attack a hostile one attack, Tby was surprised the enemy and was forced to the retreat. Willi Blumenroth died on June 17, 1942 near Sevastopol (Ukraine) Card from a series "Unteroffiziere des Heeres mit dem Ritterkreuz" (Sergeants of the german army with the Knight Cross) T were only 100 different cards from this series. The Wehrmacht recruitment office edited 100 photo cards, representing 100 brave army sergeants "front soldiers" who earned a knight cross. The back of the cards give information about the soldier and why,how he earned the medal.
