Original German Army WWII - WW2 COLLECTOR CARD ________________________________________________________________ Sergeant Karl Brüggemann (StabsKp / InfRegt.5) Staff Company - 5th Infantry Regt. Holder of : KNIGHT CROSS Sergeant Karl Brüggemann, born Dec.01 1915 in Stettin, was awarded the Knights Cross on 28 th of Nov. 1940 (!) As a group leader in a Motorcycle Platoon he surprised strong french Artillery and Tank units and stifled each resistance at the Westfront campaign 1940. Card from a series "Unteroffiziere des Heeres mit dem Ritterkreuz" (Sergeants of the german army with the Knight Cross) T were only 100 different cards from this series. The Wehrmacht recruitment office edited 100 photo cards, representing 100 brave army sergeants "front soldiers" who earned a knight cross. The back of the cards give information about the soldier and why,how he earned the medal.
