11" Candy Container Witch Bisque Head Cloth upper torso sawdust filled This piece is from the Victorian Era I feel sure that she is. The look of the bisque head is extremely Victorian. The Material in the Shawl is from that era also. Her hair is done in a Victorian Gibson Type hairdo, And looks to me to be human hair. Very fancy for a young witch. She has the kind of head that a wire goes through so it nods. It goes from her arm, through her neck to her other arm, but her head is attached as it should be. She is dressed in a three piece outfit that is quite lovely, seems to be linen. She has a lovely Victorian broach. I am sure her clothes are original to her. Her arms are composition of some kind. Her Witch's hat is banded with the same color as her outfit, a bit dusty. Her bisque head is perfect; she has a thin red line over her painted eyes, a very sharp nose, and a bee sting mouth. Very different looking face, fitting for a witch that is young, very pursed. The candy container part is in good shape, and is stamped Germany in large print inside. I added the black cat. She is holding her broom. In her right hand she is holding a silver frog on an old string of golden cords. He is beautiful in every detail and either sterling silver or some kind of metal. Why would she hold a frog? You don't suppose she has performed her magic on someone and turned them.... Nah....... She does however have that certain look of....well... "I'VE DONE IT AND I'M GLAD" Please contact me within three days at the end of this auction. Payment should be made within 7 days unless we have made prior arrangements.
