EARLY BLACK FOREST CARVED BAROMETER
I am in the process of thinning out my Black Forest collection. I have acquired most of my collection from many trips to southern Germany and Austria. Please see my other listings for more quality Black Forest items. This listing features a VERY EARLY black forest barometer. The carving is detailed and features exceptional workmanship. The carving is that of the early master carvers. This piece measures 22 1/2 inches high, 10 inches wide, and 2 1/2 inches deep. The entire carving was done from one piece of wood! As shown in the photographs, the condition is excellent. There is some cracking to the porcelain thermometer. We are listing this item with a .99 cents opening bid, with no reserve.
