German China Porcelain Desk Inkwell Ink Well w/ Roses. This is a GERMAN MARKED China or Porcelain (I don't know the difference) DOUBLE Inkwells PERMANENTLY ATTACHED to the Tray. The Tray is marked in a recessed circular area UNTER WEISS BACH inside of an upside down bell type outline and topped with 3 half circles like a soft crown. Then up above on the flat bottom of the tray are the NUMBERS Upside down 12 next to 8895. Each INKWELL measures approx. 2" tall 2" wide across. T are 2 REMOVEABLE LIDS and China INSERTS for the INK. The SHELL SHAPED TRAY measures approx. 8" from East to West and 6" from North to South. T are 2 ROSES, one pink and one maroon with GOLD painted LEAVES and STEMS in the center of the tray. T is GOLD edging all over the piece as trim lines as well as the GOLD TIPPED KNOBS. This is a very WEIGHTY PIECE.This came right off of my mother's desk and was never used for Ink. (It displayed one of her pens that she collected along with inkwells). It is an elegant looking piece with true bright colors.
