Offered here is a wonderful old crowntop perfume bottle in the shape of a Pierrot clown or jester. This particular crown top bottle may have been manufactured by the prestigious porcelain firm of Schafer & Vater; it bears the signature brown glaze and the high quality modeling for which S&V is so well known. It's a wonderful bottle and will make a great addition to your collection! These figural perfume bottles date from the very early 1900’s until the start of WWII, when Germany's porcelain factories in the area known as Thuringia were damaged during bombing raids. This bottle is embossed with "Germany" on the back of the bottle along with the model number 14815. It's a lovely bottle, standing just under 3-1/2" tall (not including the little crown top which is original to this bottle.) The beautiful translucent glaze is a true caramel brown, and this bottle is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. The sides of the bottle at the very base has two skinny areas where the glaze did not adhere quite as well, with a slight (and I mean slight) roughness that appears to have occurred during the manufacturing process. On the right side of the bottle
