ca 1775-1780. .45 caliber, 6.25` barrel which has side flats at the breech end. There is a sighting flat extending from the tang to the muzzle. Barrel with a half round brass front sight. The full stock is of European walnut with moulded relief carving around the furniture evolving into incised carving around the trigger guard finial. The tang has floral relief carving. The furniture is cast brass with rococo engravings including C-scrolls and tendrils. The buttcap contains a stylized floral relief form around the screw. The lock is rounded with a molded line. The cock is a Germanic type. Overall length 11.6.`
