German GERZ Barrel-shaped Handpainted Stein - 9.5" Tall

For auction is a mint-condition 9½" tall German stoneware salt-glazed stein with beautiful relief work depicting German life. The text on the one side, "da gibt's koa Sund" and the text on the other side "Auf der Alm" translates to "On the mountain meadow, t is no sin". Inside the lid is the Gerz mark and "94% Zinn" (94% pewter, referring to the lid). The pewter lid is embossed, as is the thumbrest. The 3-ring hinge is slightly loose, but the lid sits evenly on the stein. This stein has no chips, cracks, crazing, defects, or repairs of any kind. It is in Mint condition. This is a This is a larger stein, I'm guessing 1-liter. The artwork on the stein embossing is very detailed and well-done. The base has the familiar Gerz triangle and name stamped, West Germany and the mold number 11 are also stamped on the bottom. T is some sticker residue on the bottom. This stein is about 30 years old. Shipping is by Parcel Post or Priority Mail at the buyer's option. Insurance is optional. Loss or damage is at buyer's risk if insurance is declined. Shipping is postage only; no handling charges or add-ons. I do combine shipping wver possible if more than one item is purchased.
