This is a 100% correct reproduction of a German M38 paratrooper helmet, with the early war spanner bolts. The liner size is 59, but t is some extra room t The helmet is authentic in every possible detail. 99.9% of the so called original FJ helmet being sold on ebay are from the same manufacture that made this helmet. This is the most correct FJ helmet avaliable right now. The helmet weights 2.5 pounds, just like an original. The helmet has a nice deep authentic factory stamp and batch number, just like an originla. Please note that the stamp is identical to an original FJ helmet, not like the onces comming out of China right now. The helmet also features a nice crisp 1938 ink dome stamp. The factory stamp in this case in CKL, indicating the helmet would have been made by Eisenhuttenwerke, who was the only German factory to hold a contract to make paratrooper helmets. The helmet was first painted early war smooth LW blue-gray. The LW decal and the nation decal were applied, and then had a small amount of lacquer painted over them to protect them. This is a little detail most people miss, but it was done on most original decals. The helmet then was overpainted with mustard yellow paint with was mixed with ash and sand, to reduce the glare, a common tecnique with FJ troops.
