This is an excellent example of the 1870 Iron Cross 1 st Class. The Iron center is magnetic and retains approximately 95% of the black coating. The silver bezel and back exhibit the appropriate patina and the back is marled with "LL" in the center. The pin used to affix the cross to the uniform is horizontally. This is a full size Iron cross, measuring 43 mm width X 43 mm in height.
