Absolutely no sales to Germany or parts of Europe w this item is restricted!!! Early m37 German paratrooper helmet. This helmet has been over painted in Italian tan over the original apple green paint. The shell shows much chipping and scrapes with some rust spots. T is an insignia about 85%. The shell is stamped ET71, with a serial number, possibly 397. The numbers are not very clear under the rust and dirt. The helmet has been fitted with the early type m38 liner with the yellow crash pads and foam. The leather is stained from perspiration in the right spots and the maker's name is stamped on the leather, which is in good shape with some minor scuffing. The liner is size 59. The gray leather straps are in excellent shape with the correct German WWII roller buckle. These straps have either zinc or aluminum grommets as they are not magnetic. The straps themselves are in excellent condition and the snaps show some light rusting. These early m37 helmets were sometimes issued with m38 liners later in the war.. This is a very nice example of a transitional model helmet.would make an excellent display piece. Free shipping in the USA, if you buy it now.
