German Officer's Frock Coat and Pickelhaube!

Offered here is a German Officer's Frock Coat and a Baden Officer's Helmet. The two have not always been together as part of a lot , I am just selling them together. First, the coat. It is a very small size, bright Prussian blue "doe skin" fabric with red facings and tomback (copper colored) buttons. It is all complete but has some of the damage and wear you would expect from a garment this age. It has come unstitched around the collar edge. There are repairs where the lining meets the sleeves and the regimental number 5 on one shoulder board is half worn away. Minor dirt and wear on the inside collar. None of these things really affect the overall appearance when on display. Second, the helmet. It is a small size officer's quality helmet with all silver metal fittings. It has a very thin and dry leather shell and I've done some restoration to it. There was a tear or crack in it near the left wing tip of the Baden plate (see photo). This was patched and does not detract from the appearance. There is dark staining on the inside and the inner plate holding the spike base to the helmet is home-made. Also missing is the silk portion of the liner and one half of the chinstrap, however the buckle half and buckle are there (see photo). On the positive side, there is a penciled in number "22,2,02" which I assume is a date. The spike (a non-removable type) is considerably taller than those on the standard enlisted man's helmet. This helmet is very solid and generally complete on the outside and looks very impressive with the bright silver work. Note: I do not accept returns so please feel free to ask any questions before bidding. I will be happy to respond. Thanks! NOTE! On 5-2-11 a knowledgable ebayer told me this is an officer's coat but the shoulder boards are from an enlisted man's tunic. I looked into it and agree and it would appear that they have been restitched. If you have already made a bid and would like to withdraw, please let me know and I'll see that it happens.
