For your consideration today, A very unusual helmet, complete with paint - liner and chin strap. This helmet is straight from a veterans estate. Brought back from Germany at the end of WW II, with a very unusual police helmet. This helmet appears to be a M18 reissue, but in my years of collecting, I have never seen this type of liner attachment. It appears to be a standard M-16 liner in a way, but with 2 extra split pins and holes for a total of 5 holding in the liner. It also appears to have the chin strap added at that time, bit it is also possible that this helmet is as issued, possibly by Austria or Hungary. Any input by the collecting community is gladly taken. This helmet is untouched since the end of WWII as is, As it was taken home by the vet. It is possible that this helmet has been messed with, because I have never seen another like it, but if it has been messed with it was done before or during WW II, and was brought home this way. This helmet has never been for sale anyw before now, and no matter how large a collection you have the chances are you do not have one exactly like this one. The paint is very good but it appears to be a war time repaint, the liner is very stiff but not rotted at all and will stay in good shape for many many years to come. This very unusual German-"Austrian or Hungarian helmet can be your christmas present this year, offered to you with no reserve. Helmets in this condition are getting very hard to get. Don't miss your chance to own this gem. Thank you for lookin at our auction, Goo Luck, Helmet looks better in life than in the photos.
