Up for auction I have a GORGEOUS German Pewter Beer Stein. This is a LOVELY piece and would be a very unique addition to the pewter lovers collection. This item is in very gently used condition. T are some minor surface markings that came from normal use. They do not take away from the beauty, function or appearance of this lovely beer stein. T are no scratches, corrosion or discolorations on this very unique beer stein. This is a lovely item, sure to bring joy to its new owner. **This piece stands perfectly straight contrary to my poor photographs. DESCRIPTION: The winner of this auction will receive the fabulous beer stein shown in the photos. This item has a lovely dark patina on the outside scenes. The inside and around the brim is polished, and has a very shiney finish. This item features 3 panels with different scenes and a very ornamental lid.The first scene shows the vineyard workers harvesting the grapes. They are picking the grapes, carrying them in baskets and loading them into huge barrels on a wagon.The second scene shows the grapes being processed into juice and loaded into barrels for fermenting.The third scene shows a group of gentleman sitting around a rustic wood table. T is a fruit basket on the table. One of the gentleman is holding a pitcher and is asking another gentleman for is goblet. They look like they are in a wine cellar. T are barrels stacked up on the side.All of these scenes have lovely ornate detail. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!Just under the brim, t is a wide band of polished pewter suitable for engraving to commemorate that special occasion or holiday. The lid on this stein is FABULOUS! It is detailed to look like a shingled roof. T is also a band of grape leaves and tendrils. See photos! The handle is heavy and sturdy. It is detailed with a ribbed style motif.The base is wide and flares out at the edge. T is an ornate band of grape clusters, leaves and tendrils. This item will be a very appreciated treasure for its new owner. The pictures doesn't do it justice.
