Up for auction I have an Gorgeous German Pewter Beer Tankard. This is a magnificent tankard and would be a very unique addition to the pewter lovers collection. This tankard is in gently used condition. T are some very minor surface markings around the base that came from normal use around the very edge of the base. They do not take away from the beauty, function or appearance of this very rare and unique tankard. T is no corrosion or discolorations on this lovely beer tankard. **This piece stands perfectly straight contrary to my poor photographs. DESCRIPTION: This is a rare and very pretty beer tankard. The tankard features 3 different and very unique hunting scenes. The first scene shows a huge majestic buck standing on a patch of grass. T are tall mountain peaks in the background. Very ornate detail throughout this lovely item.The second scene shows a doe and a buck standing on a patch of grass watching. Lovely scene!The third scene shows a Tom Turkey standing on some branches. He looks to be gobbling and calling a mate. His tail feathers are spread and he is just gorgeous.All 3 of these lovely scenes are extremely ornate. They are all surrounded by oak leaves, acorns, flowers, swords, rifles, shotguns, deer, and more. EXTREMELY ORNATE AND GORGEOUS! Above the scenes, t is a very wide band of nice polished pewter suitable for engraving to commemorate that special holiday or occasion. The handle is large and sturdy. It is ornately detailed as well. This tankard will be a treasure for it's new owner. The pictures don't do it justice.
