Up for auction I have a GORGEOUS matching German Pewter Cigarette Lighter & Ash Tray. This is a fabulous set with lovely aged patina on the scenes. It would be a very unique addition to the pewter lovers collection. This set is gorgeous and is in very gently used condition. T are some very minor surface markings that came from age and normal use. T are no scratches, dents, dings, corrosion or discolorations on this very beautiful German Pewter Cigarette Lighter and Ash Tray set. **This piece stands perfectly straight contrary to my poor photographs. DESCRIPTION: The winner of this auction will receive the lovely pewter cigarette lighter and ash tray shown in the photos. This is an absolutely gorgeous set. They features scenes commemorating artist Carl Spitzweg. On the lighter, the first scene shows a gentleman and lady in a loving embrace. They are standing in an old world courtyard setting. T are baskets of flowers on the ground. T is a horse drawn carriage in the background. Gorgeous detail! The second scene shows a gentlemens quartet singing in a town square. They are all wearing old world era clothing. The third scene shows a gentleman handing a lady a bouquet of flowers at her door step. T is a brick building behind her with flower pots resting in the window. Incredible detail in all 3 scenes! I am selling this lighter as is. I have tried to ignite it, but t is no fluid in it. I do not smoke, so don't have any in the house to try filling it. It may need a new flint as well. I am starting the auction price accordingly. It is in excellent condition, and I would bet it has never been used. The lighter features a dial to adjust the flame. It is marked - + The ash tray is gorgeous as well. It features a matching scene from the lighter. It shows the gentleman handing a lady a bouquet of flowers. QUITE LOVELY! The outer rim has 4 notches for resting the burning cigarettes on. The border features a lovely filigree style motif. This set will be a very appreciated treasure for its new owner. The pictures don't do it justice. DIMENSIONS: The Cigarette Lighter measures approximately: HEIGHT: 3 1/2 inches WIDTH: 3 1/2 inches WEIGHT: 10 ounces The Ash Tray measures approximately: DIAMETER: 5 1/4 inches WEIGHT: 8 ounces All measurements are taken from the highest point to the widest point, including handles, spouts, finials, flips on the lids and all other extentions of the piece. MANUFACTURER MARKINGS: The markings on the bottom of the cigarette lighter says: ARTINA SKS ZINN 95% T is an icon of a swan wearing a crown. This is all surrounded by a circle. The bottom of the fuel container says FORMULA.The manufacturer marking on the bottom of the Ash Tray says: SKS ZINN 95% Made in Germany.
