Up for auction I have a very ornately detailed German Pewter Wall Mount Plate. This is a gorgeous item and would be a very unique addition to the pewter lover or plate collectors inventory. I do not know it's actual age, but it is in pristine gently used condition. T are some very minor surface markings that came with age and normal use. T is no dents, dings, corrosion or discolorations of any kind on this gorgeous plate. **This piece stands perfectly straight contrary to my poor photographs. The wood display stand shown in the photos is not included with this auction. They can easily be purchased at most department stores. DESCRIPTION: The inlay on the plate depicts a pretty scene with a man and woman outdoors. This is the famous Lindenwirtin scene. The center of the plate shows a very well dressed couple. The gentleman is sitting down and is handing the lady her purse. They appear to have been having a picnic. T is a dressed table behind the gentleman with a pitcher resting on it. T is another table beside the lady with a wooden stool. T is a ball of yarn and some knitting needles on the table. Maybe they are going dancing because they are so well dressed. T is a very rustic house off to the side set way back. The original hang tab is permenantly attached to the back for quick and easy hanging. Around the edge of this magnificent plate, it is ornately detailed with a swirling lace style motif. SEE PHOTOS.....it is absolutely gorgeous! DIMENSIONS: The plate measures approximately: WIDTH: 9 5/8 inches WEIGHT: 1 pound All measurements are taken from the highest point to the widest point, including handles, spouts, finials, flips on the lids and all other extentions of the piece. MANUFACTURER MARKINGS: The markings on the back of the plate says: FRIELING ZINN 95% GERMANY. T is an icon of a crowned rosebud in the center.
