17 (43 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead portraying an elegant lady with oval face, slender nose with flared nostrils, elongated throat, sculpted ears, brown hair softly waved from face into curls at back of head and having white ribbon bow at the crown, downcast blue painted eyes, leather body with gauze overlay, porcelain forearms. Condition: porcelain excellent, one finger reglued, body worn and recovered. Comments: KPM Nymphenburg, from the series of dolls created for the 1908 exhibition; the lady wears a fine cotton print dress, undergarments, shoes, and carries a superb kid leather miniature book with gold tooling, Dorothea & Hermann by Wilhelm Von Goethe, 1908, Leipzig.
