THIS IS A VERY GOOD CONDITION ORIGINAL SLING MADE BY THE GERMANS FOR THE K98 OR G43 RIFLE FOR USE IN WWII. The shown sling is the sling you will receive . The metal buckel has all of the front leather covering and in good condition. NO MARKINGS ON THE METAL BUCKEL The connection pin heads are ground flush to the metal buckel sidewalls as required to be real German WW2. T are 3 holes for the frog, as required for an authentic sling of this nature. The leather of the sling is in VERY good condition, flexible and strong. The sling has VERY good diamond or cross-hatching pattern. See pics . The sling is generally a brown color. T are one or two short very slightly darker stained areas and very few and very shallow surface cracks, making the sling slightly less than perfect. It would be very hard to up-grade from this 65 year old sling. The sliding leather loop is included and is in good condition. The leather and steel retainer or frog is typical WW2 German contruction in very good condition. No markings anyw that still remain visible to me.
