Hello! Thank you for looking into my auctions. I am relatively new to eBay, but I've been selling WW2 relic items internationally for years, so buy with confidence and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Up on auction is an authentic WWII relic: German soldier's silver ring found nearby the Russian city of Volgograd, former Stalingrad, site of the greatest battle in history! Because it was found inside a former German bunker at Gumrak, one of the two main German airbases in the Stalingrad area and also Hedquarters of the 6th Army at the end of 1942, this ring is in excellent condition: just slightly worn, but absolutely no damage, and it is still shining! I believe t were red stones inserted into the eyesockets, but unfortunately they are gone. Since ancient times this pattern - skull and snakes - was very popular among the German warriors (and particularly in the armored or panzer units during the World War II) as a symbol of bravery and disdain towards eventual death in combat. Please note that t are NO offensive symbols portrayed, and tfore this item is in full compliance with eBay rules. Also, it is NOT associated with any human remains, but was found in a German bunker with no remains anyw nearby. Also, t are two different markings stamped on each side: one mark clearly reads 84 , while the other looks like the letter AB stamped upside down. Curiously, the size of the ring is very small - approximately 16mm in diameter (1" = 25.4mm), that is, just to fit the little finger of a man, or maybe a lady's or teenager's finger. Perhaps the original owner wore it on his little finger, or was it a German lady enlisted in the 6th Army? Anyway, this item is a real gem for every collection for being a 100% authentic relic brought to you from a worldwide-known historical site.
