You are looking at a Brand New - Never Been Used Original Steinbach German Smoker. This Steinbach is named "The Red Baron" or "Der,, Rote Baron" (in German). He was made in West Germany by the Steinbach Company. They are each individually hand carved and turned from wood as well as hand painted by a German craftsman. The Steinbach Family has been making German Folk Art for 4 generations. The Red Baron flys a red plane while playing music, slowly moving forward and his propeller slowly spins. Each of the smokers burns an incense which is placed inside of the body, when lit the smoke comes out of his mouth (please see the picture showing his body taken apart, the incense is placed inside the silver prongs). The Red Baron is Rare and the only one that I have. He measures 13 & 1/2 inches long and is 6 & 3/4 inches tall. The Red Baron is created with a Music Box inside which plays a little tune (his tag says: Das gibt's nur einmal (name of the song) - Swiss Musical Movement - Reuge). When he plays his music, he also moves slowly forward. You wind the red round dial on his side with a handle sticking out to play the music and then you switch the tan lever on top of the plane (in front of the Red Baron) to play the music. To stop - you simply switch the tan lever to the other side. {see pictures for the red wheel and the tan lever}.
