German Victorian Piano Baby holding Shoe~Conta & Boehme All dressed up with Blue ruffles with Pink bows and Tiny raised beading highlighted with of Gold gilt throughout her lovely yellow dress, this wonderful hand painted Victorian Piano Baby is delightful! She is holding up one of her shoes, as her angelic face appears to be requesting your assistance! Sitting partially barefooted, this Exquisitely detailed Piano Baby measures approx. 7.25" from her sweet curl covered head to her cute little toes and approx. 8" wide! Lovingly cherished by my Grandmother, this delightful little treasure bears no maker's mark, however we believe it is quite possibly a Conta & Boehme and that it was produced in the later part of the 1800's. This precious little one looks to have had a repair on the bottom of her foot, which does not detract, and a reattachment of part of the bow on her right shoulder. Although this baby lived in my Oma's parlor for many, many years, some cleaning may be needed which we will leave to the winner. This adorable example of the Victorian era's sensibility will complement any special collection! Be sure to look at the adorable MATCHING Piano Baby we have up for auction today, they could be twins!
