Note: To comply with eBay regulations this lot can only be shipped within the US. To eBay VeRo reviewers: This lot is not promoting hatred towards anyone. These are family albums of a policeman who later joined the army. T are no pictures of him (or anyone else) in the SA or SS and t is no indication he was even a Nazi party member. T are no political or swastika images in the albums. This lot was removed once and we have complied with the specific eBay instructions sent to us in message: EN62827 PI Response to your email concerning eBay's ended listing policies. (KMM250694952V73367L0KM The albums are interesting for all of the different Reichswehr (1920s- early 1930s) helmets, uniforms, and edged weapons, as well as for the few later army shots like the overturned panzerwagen and group pictures. T are in total three family photo albums with just under 800 original period photos of a man who was a policeman in Kiel during the interwar years and then was in the Wehrmacht during WWII. These are the original antique albums with most pictures present; it seems as if a very few have fallen out and t are a dozen or so gatd loose. The total number of pictures is just under 800. Most, however, are NOT military or police photos. T are approximately 60-70 obviously police and/or military pictures, including some motorcycle pictures, several high-ranking officers, a huge variety of different helmets, medals, and even a number of weapons. The pictured overturned Panzerwagen is pretty interesting, as are the shots of the Reichsmarine (Weimar Germany, not Nazi) submarines.Towards the end of the scan t is a series of portraits of the album owner, from his 1919 police days through the 20s up to 1946 (the latter titled the nightmare ended). As a police member in 1919 Berlin and Kiel (t are photos in the 20s with him in Berlin, too) he would have been involved in the counter-1919 Communist Revolution whether as a so-called Freikorp or as an Einwohnerwehr policeman. Not included in the military totals are a number of ships and marine scenes, as well as a couple memorial shots and two clear pictures of the Dornier DO-X plane. Also one Zeppelin overhead shot. What makes the albums nice, in addition to the police material, is all of the period (20s-30s) images from around Germany -- pictured are touristic/castle/street/view scens of Hamburg, Kiel, Pieper, Holsteinische Schweiz, Eutin, Luebeck, Heide, bicycle race Levensau, the Kiel canals, Hann-Muenden, Kassel, Dransfeld, Ludwigstein, and quite a few different vehicles. Many of the pictures or pages are dated or titled. These area all from the same family and really should be kept together as they make a very attractive historical record of this period in German history.
