Up for auction is what appears to be a WWI German Mauser bayonet that has been modified for used with Turkish M38 Mausers. The bayonet has metal grips with what looks like a crown proof on the butt of the grips. The only other markings on the bayonet is the serial number of 5086 and two crown proofs on the spine of the blade; what looks like crown "D". The release button works fine. The scabbard has some moderate dents in spots and the finish is a combination of what looks like German blueing, Turkish rust blue and plain-old worn out in the white. The photos below show both sides of the item up for bid. You are bidding on one bayonet and one scabbard.I will ship via USPS.
