German World War II IRON CROSS 2nd Class with original issue PAPER ENVELOPEThis is an item that was brought home by a veteran. He has written on the envelope, "Something of a 'souvenir'----"This Iron Cross has never been used and is in excellent condition. It is manufactured by Steinhauer and Lück in Lüdenscheld. Their mark is on the envelope and on the ring.Please email with questions and if you would like more pictures. Thanks for bidding! Please note that the envelope shows wear--it has some water marks/damage and some tears. It is NOT in mint condition! In response to many questions, the ring is definitely marked, I just can determine with certainty that it is a 4. T is too much age to the ring--the surface is not smooth and clean. The medal and envelope have been together since I got them over 20 years ago from the vet who brought them home .
