is a rarely encountered Original WWII German portable Generator. The Two-Cycle single Cyl. engine turns freely and has good compression. The small round cover over the Points (on front) is missing but Points are t I have not had it running and it looks as though it has not had fuel in it for a long time. Fuel tank is clean and still has the orginal screen type filter in the neck. The starter/crank Handle has been welded and does not fold. I used this as a display item to "power" a WWII German Radio Truck. It is being sold as is. Weight is approx. 35 lbs. The Instructional data plate "Bedienungsanweisung" mounted on the Gas Tank was painted over when I found it. After removing the old paint, I found about half the instructions were unreadable due to pitting. The electric notor housing was repainted Gun-Metal gray. Outer frame and fuel tank were painted the correct ordnance tan. Muffler is solid with no holes or rust and i t has been cleaned and painted. The rear electric motor housing cover has some minor damaged as I tried to show in the picture. Internal parts and motor were not affected. Unit has a second small data plate on top of the motor which lists the following: Auto-Union AG Type. M10AR Werk-Nr. 40475 Ers.T.Nr. 014217-0 Production date is 1944 and other stamped German Markings are visable on top of the engine case. The muffler housing, crank housing, Data Plate and other parts show the now familiar linked-circle Audi Logo, which at that time was Auto-Union. Please email: regarding any questions or additional pictures. Located in Pike County PA. Zip 18337. Actual weight is 52 lbs.
