Germany / Austria - 1914 Silver 'Unity is Strength' medal WWI Description Date : 1914 Diameter : 34 mm Obv : Joined busts of the German Kaizer Wilhelm II and Austrian Emporer Franz Josef I Rev : Joined Shields of the German and Austrian Empires, 'Strength through Unity' above, dated August 1914 below. Good Extremely fine. Patriotic medals similar to this one were struck in large numbers around this time, however most are fairly poor quality and in light weight metals. This piece is solid silver, and made to an excellent high standard. Please see my other items!
