GERMANY INSELPOST #8 GREAT RARITY SELDOM SEEN ANYWHERE 15,000 DM STAMP IS SIGNED, CAN'T MAKE OUT SIGNATURE, LIGHTLY HINGED/ BUYER PAYS FOR CERTIFICATE/SEE TERMS BELOW The finest 19th and 20th century collection ever offered is from the estate of a French/ German nobleman, Baron Frederick Von Lubcke Spouse: Dora Von Lubcke Birth: about 1853 - Bremen Residence: 1880 - New York City, New York, New York and represents three generations of collectors starting in 1883 and through the 1970’s.this collection consisting of both stamps and postal history was originally appraised thorough the American Philatelic Foundation by its director Michael Dubasso. This item is from the collection. The Baron accumulated over 400 19th century albums, including Swanenburger & Maury albums, I will over time break out pages/collections from these albums. Should you wish to view the Baron's desk in Paris showing some of his elaborate albums For serious collectors and part time dealers we recommend you buy the book offered here in our store "Everything you ever wanted to know about stamp collecting." Sample chapters can be seen on Amazon, just type in DuBasso on the Amazon site. I will be putting up selected rarities from the estate. Some have written certification, some have signatures on the back of the stamp including Bloch, Brun, Schlegel, GYPS, etc. You are welcome to have any item certified yourself by notifying me at the time of purchase. On stamps that are not signed should they turn out not as described I will refund the cost of the stamp and the cost of the certificate. However on all signed stamps offered from the estate that come back not as described I will only reimburse for the returned item plus postage. Please note most of the signatures are from very well known expertizers such as those described above. The Baron was a very savvy collector and dealt only with reputable dealers and well known auction firms such as Roumet in Paris, David Feldman in Geneva, etc. A two part Swanenburger collection was consigned directly to David Feldman In Geneva by the estate and will be auctioned off intact this year. It is expected to realize over 150,000 Euros. Please keep in mind that the warantee signatures cost a minimum of $25 today and should be taken into consideration as you view my items.
