Up for auction is this phenomenal cabinet specimen I acquired from a mine owner in Brazil many years ago. This is incredibly rare material and was part of the miners personal collection. This specimen is a mass of calcite and amethyst with clusters of dog-tooth calcites. Some of the dog-tooths are between 1 to 2.5 inches! This specimen had grown in softer material that washed away and you can see from the photos that the back is as cool as the front. I have recently decided to sell much of my mineral collection primarily because it's just been sitting in storage for years and I can use the space and money. Primarily I am keeping the bulk of my fluorite collection, the rest is pretty much going up for auction. Almost all of the material I list was acquired through mineral dealers from around the world. Additionally, a friend of mine was a huge mineral and fossil wholesaler who allowed me to come to his warehouse and poke around once a month or so and I was able to collect hundreds of fine minerals over the course of a few years.
