UNRESTORED ULTRA-HIGH GRADE GIANT-SIZE #1, WITH THE CLASSIC HULK VS THING BATTLE! This superb specimen was strictly graded by CGC, and looks like it was just printed! HARD TO FIND ABOVE 9.2 THANKS TO THE SQUARE-BOUND GIANT-SIZE FORMAT! UNREAL SNOWY-WHITE PAGES! This book is well known to fans and dealers alike, as a hot Marvel comic book featuring the Fantastic Four, and pitting the THING against THE INCREDIBLE HULK! These ever-popular crossovers, as popularized in Fantastic Four #12 and #112 and in this great book, just seem to get hotter and hotter! This great red cover is a treat to behold when the cover is unblemished by such pesky detractors as creases and spine-stresses. It has the timeless artwork of Rick Buckler and Joe Sinnott inside the issue, and the excellent UFC superhero-style cover by the same art team. It doesn't get any more "Blue Chip" than this! This incredible original first-print comic-book WILL find a new home, as the opening bid amount is just the ORIGINAL COVER-PRICE and t is NO RESERVE! This uncommon comic is a real find in NM or better shape, as most copies were read, or weren't boarded immediately, and the square-bound giants of the day were prone to printing wrinkles and spine problems and edge flaws. This gem shows little of those typical defects! The Fantastic Four are already a household name, with games and cartoons and toys and clothes, and the smash-hit movie (and resulting DVD's and videogames, toys, clothing and related licensing) and even crossovers with other publishers and formats. With the Incredible Hulk also a big star of his own major motion-picture, expect prices to continue the upward trend. This copy is spectacular, as this book is super-clean and t is no visible signs of wear or aging, and it has precise printing registration. And the paper quality is UNBEATABLE! The lighter areas you see below are from refections and the glare of the camera flash, and are not evident when viewing the actual book in person.
