Here we have an incredible & RARE item! OVER 10 FEET TALL This Authentic Giraffe Mount comes from an Estate Sale in Las Vegas When all was said & done the ORIGINAL cost was well over $25,000. We are putting this amazing and RARE find up for sale at $5000 With NO RESERVE! The mount comes apart at the bottom, there is a 2 inch by 12 inch steel rod that fits into the base. Please note: This is an enormous animal, and has been around for quite a few years. There are some signs of aging on the top of the head and around the face. The neck, coat and hair all have survived extremely well. The tongue is a bit loose and should probably be reglued or repaired at some point. The base is sturdy and well built. The overall mount is quite unbelieveable when you see it for the first time. An impressive piece for any setting! The giraffe ( Giraffa camelopardalis ) is the tallest of all land-living animal species , and the largest ruminant . The giraffe's scientific name, which is similar to its antiquated English name of camelopard , refers to its irregular patches of color on a light background, which bear a token resemblance to a leopard 's spots. The average mass for an adult male giraffe is 1,200 kilograms (2,600 lb) while the average mass for an adult female is 830 kilograms (1,800 lb).
