Gibson ES- 137 Classic..2011 Honey Burst ..Gibson Custom Memphis Factory This superbGibson ES-137 Classic was made at the Gibson Custom Memphis plant. A stunning Honey burstfinish with a Bigsby type vibrato -Part ZZ -type B7 (this vibrato is set in the location of the stop bar so as not to damage the guitar making holes to screw it to the body, the body of the guitar remains intact, it also gives better sustain than the conventional Bigsby). The guitar comes with it's Gibson wallet and certificate. The sound of this ES-137 is between a 175 and an ES- LP. The central mahogany beam gives more sustain and makes the guitar less sensitive to feedback. Like the ES-335 etc. The maple neck is a 1959 type but still is not a pickaxe handle either. Pickups are Gibson 498T and 490 humbuckers. Grover tuners. The nut contains more grooves because the guy I bought it from played it as a 5-string!! The six string grooves are absolutely fine and intact..he just adapted the nut for his use. Rosewood fingerboard with pearl inlay and the "C" on the classic 12th box. Binding white cream on body and neck , The State of the guitar is beautiful..fabulous flamed maple.
