The Gibson GK-55 is an electric guitar manufactured by The Gibson Guitar Corporation in kalamazoo michigan in 1978. Description The GK-55 is basically a stripped-down model based on the 1955 Gibson Les Paul, before they went to the les paul special. It is a flat-top 55 body style, mahogany, two humbuckers, serial #71359115 A real sought after collectible.....

It is a flat-top 55 body style, dark sunburst, two "T top" humbuckers , no binding, dot inlays, and a bolt on neck. These were made in the Gibson plant in Kalamazoo, MI in 1979. This guitar was made in 1979, It has 22 frets. One volume control, two tone controls, and a fourth switch for coil tapping. A three way switch too. It came with the humbucking pickups. Mahogany body with a rosewood fingerboard. The body is Les Paul style. Nonlocking Grover tuners. Plays and sounds great. and great condition.......guitar was made at the
