Hello! for auction is (i think) a 1970 Gibson SG. You can verify the year for yourself with the serial number 950091. I don't know much about Gibson's so i don't really know what kind of model this is. Any help would be greatly appreciated and posted for other watchers. So i tried my best to get the history on this guitar and this is what i know: First let me say that t has been a HEADSTOCK REPAIR. O.K., I just wanted to get that said first because i know a lot of listers on ebay try to hide this info, or put it at the end like it's not a big deal, but as you can see by my feedback i try to be as honest of an ebayer as possible. So, you can see it's a walnut color, and ts an extra strap button added on the upper horn. It has the really cool tailpiece, but is missing the trem arm. Also the tuners were changed at some point but the originals (i think they're original?) were put back on. So t are extra holes now from those other ones being on t This really is an awsome guitar, but I know the headstock repair makes it worth a lot less. I took the guitar out to MOZE GUITARS of La Mesa, California and they informed me that as hard as it is to tell, the headstock had been broken at some point but has had a fantastic repair, mainly evident too because the back of the neck had been oversprayed after, which is why it looks so good and you can honestly barely tell it had been broken. I tried to contact the original owner and he tried to give me some more history on the guitar. He said he bought it back in the late 80's from a friend who had bought it for $80.00 from a heroin addict. The headstock had been broken and repaired at some guitar shop in Nashville around the mid-80's and then he purchased the guitar somew around the early 90's. And now I have it, but I have to sell it as I really don't have much use for it. The bidding will start at $700.00 which i think is a fair starting point. It is still a killer guitar, even with the repair, and seeing as it's lasted this long it's a pretty good testiment to how well it been taken care of and how well the repair had been done. So if you're looking for a great player that you don't have to worry about like a museum piece this is the one. Comes with the newer Gator case thats in the pics. Sorry, i don't have the original case. Please ask any questions you want and i'll try to add a few more pics of the back of the headstock and some pick-up date codes later on tonite. Happy bidding. NO ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS. Ships to the lower 48 states only for $85.00 Ask any questions you want BEFORE bidding. Thanks! It looks like the serial number is 950081, not 950091 like i stated before. it's really hard to tell, so i posted a picture of it along with some closer pics of the back of the headstock. Also, it says MADE IN USA under the serial number. Thanks, and sorry for any confusion.
