Welcome!! We have just acquired a large collection of fine porcelain. Lots of auctions to list, so please keep us book marked to view our treasures. This auction is for a Set of Five Gien France Bowls. They are made by Gien France And Circa 1890's. Gein, France has been in business since 1821. La Faiencarie de Gien has been renowned worldwide for the quality of its creations and the creativity of its artist. Each design has a specific personality. Most people are not aware of the quality of this company. They are part of Baccarat. Most people think of Limoges only when something is from France and have not heard of the name Gien. Like when crystal is mentioned people think of Waterford and not Stuben. Each of these bowls measures 9.00" in diameter and at the rim ar over 1.50" high. They are very old and some have some chips as shown in the Photo's. We are selling as is with the crazing, chips and hairline cracks. They are hard paste and each center has a differant color, they are still bright have all these years.
