Hi I'm James Parker and I am offering this fine mint condition Giesen & Forsthoff antique knife for auction. Personal checks, money orders, and Pay Pal gladly accepted. TN residents pay 9.25% state sales tax. Winning bidder pays $4.75 for USPS Priority Mail Shipping with Delivery Confirmation included in the Shipping price. Thanks. This is a 1950's produced Giesen & Forsthoff Butter & Molasses Drinking Knife, 3 1/2" closed. The tang stamp on the master Spear blade reads Giesen & Forsthoff Solingen. This knife features the old Butter & Molasses scales and the small Spear blade and the Corkscrew, used to open wine bottles. The Certificate which is included with this knife reads "Giesen & Forsthoff Solingen, Germany", "This firm began in 1920. John Goins book "Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings" show them as using the TIMOR Trademark and the G & F Trademark. Their main business is scissors and shears. They only made pocket cutlery for the domestic German market and these knives have not been produced since the 1950's. The blades are hammer forged and the quality is unsurpassed". This 1950's produced Giesen & Forsthoff Butter & Molasses Drinking Knife is mint condition with Certificate (I'll provide a box to the winning bidder for safe storage) and being offered at No Reserve. Thanks for your bids, we appreciate it.
