Gig Keane Sad Eye Puppy Prints (3)

Up for bid are three (3) prints from the sad eye master Gig Keane. These prints were available through the mail for $1.00 plus 10 cents postage in the mid 1960's . They are 10 inches wide and 14 inches long. None of the prints have ever been framed and have always been stored in the mailing tube.

Included in the auction:

Bucky : A sad little puppy who is pictured with a broken rope tied around his neck behind a chain link fence. Snuffy : A waif of a puppy with long ears partially hidden under a wooden fence or building surrounded by old tin cans, spring and bottle. Golden Boy : is an adorable yellow lab type pup cowering near a laundry tub. Copy of the mailing advertisement : I have the original advertisement copied for the new owner of these adorable puppies. This is the type of offer that was printed in magazines. It shows that four (4) prints were available from: Colonial Studios/ White Plains, New York 10606.

Each print has the GIG signature and 1966 Litho U.S.A. on the bottom. The prints were stored in a mailing tube, so t is a curl to each end, but once they are framed this will not be a problem. They will be mailed flat.
